One of the strong ways to start caring about your Sovereign Blade, there are enough challenging area of effect fights in the game which are well addressed by hitting all the enemies for 30+ for this card to be quite appealing.
A bit of an awkward card but can be clutch in specific fights. If you're running a sword deck and have no area damage yet, this might just be what you need.
