Even without card generation synergies, this game has a lot of extremely good cards in it, and a lot of them would usually cost much more than 1 Energy to play if you were trying to do so without Discovery. Important note about mechanics like Discovery: the cards generated are from your character's card pool and they're all equally likely; Rare cards are just as likely to be found as Common cards are.
