Alignment doesn't usually have much purpose in Regent's card pool unless you're using it for an infinite or massive X-cost card. You typically have to spend energy to generate Stars, if you're just using them to create energy again you start getting Rube Goldberg-y and failing to actually output anything that wins fights.
