Good old Neutralize. Neutralize does okay in Act 1 and sometimes remains relevant because of its weak application later in the game. You can upgrade it if you want, but you can also try to aim higher than that.
Gain Block equal to Poison on ALL enemies. Exhaust.
Deal 1 damage. Deals 1 additional damage for each card drawn this combat.
Choose a card. Next turn, add 3 copies of that card into your Hand. Exhaust.
