It's important to work out how to spend energy on damage or block on turns where you need them in a run, and Dash simplifies this in earlygame by making sure you can spend two energy on both every time it's in your hand. Later on in the game you expect it to be played less often because you'll draw stronger cards for whatever you need to do that turn, but Dash can do a great job of getting you that far.
