Cards which both attack and defend can be useful to have, but tend to be most valuable earlier in the game. Later in the game, your deck will hopefully be good enough to choose whether to attack, defend, or scale on each turn, and you won't have much need to play cards which perform multiple roles because you'll be able to pick the card which is best for the role that's necessary.
It seems strong in Coop, which I know nothing about.

Huge damage reduction paired with subpar damage makes for an unusual card. Hard to justify 3 energy for this unless it completely negates an enemy attack. Notably does not exhaust. Very broken if you can make this card free.
