Dagger Throw's "Discard 1" line is actually a significant upside on it. It lets you play any Sly cards you have in your hand for free, which is a big deal! It's a solid card to add to your deck early on, just to deal a little extra damage to early fights, and then later it can enable you to discard some important Sly cards to play them.
