1. Water from a charcoal-filled carafe is ladled into a kettle.
2. The kettle is heated using a gentle violet flame.
3. A scoop of tea goes into the kettle before it boils.
4. Off the heat, and a series of rhythmic claps track the time.
5. The kettle is hoisted high and precisely poured into a tiny cup.
