This is an adorable event. Hatch the Egg! You get an adorable little Byrd companion. Unfortunately, at higher difficulties it can be quite hard to justify giving up the 7 Max HP (which also heals you for 7 when you get it) in order to hatch the Egg, and so I tend to just eat it. If you do hatch the egg by taking it from the event and surviving with it until your deck until choosing to spend a campfire hatching it, you're rewarded with a 0-cost attack which deals 14. Not bad at all, and could synergize with a 0-cost Defect build, Strength and Vulnerable on Ironclad or Regent, or a deck focused on card draw on Silent or Necrobinder.

7 max hp is very tempting compared to carrying a card around until you can hatch it, but consider this: nothing is more powerful than friendship. Your bird friend will provide critical morale support in addition to being a 0-cost source of damage. Defect in particular can utilize the bird well with cads like Hologram, Feral, and All For One. Necrobinder appreciates giving Osty something to pet.

You spot an enormous Shambling Beast chase off an injured Green Byrd. In the alcove the byrd fled from, a single unguarded egg lies abandoned. Your stomach gurgles...
Eat the Egg
Gain 7 Max HP.

You crack the egg open and gobble it up. Good breakfast.
Take the Egg
Add Byrdonis Egg to your Deck.

You gently scoop up the egg and stow it, thinking it may hatch into something useful later.
