Comparing Cinder to something like Twin Strike, it seems like it deals less damage per energy, but keep in mind that Cinder guarantees you can spend 2 Energy this turn on that damage. In a way, higher-cost cards are a bit like drawing two 1-Cost cards at once, which is valuable, especially early on in the game when your deck is still at its most inconsistent. Exhausting a card at random /tends/ to be mostly upside.

Decent damage for a 2-cost attack, plus thinning your deck each time you play it. Play last on your turn to avoid losing another card you might want to play.
