The important thing to remember when evaluating Brand is that exhausting a card is a large upside. It'll make powers like Feel No Pain and Dark Embrace work, get rid of nasty statuses in some of the harder fights in the game, or let you trim the less impactful cards from your deck as a fight goes longer, so that each of your hands can be better than the last. The same can be said for losing 1 life in a lot of decks, where relics and powers synergize with Ironclad taking damage. Think about how well this works with Tear Asunder or Centennial Puzzle, for example. Almost always worth picking up, and feeling excited about.

A very useful 'bridge' card that works with self-damage, Exhaust, and Strength interactions. Not particularly strong in isolation, but the strength of this card lies in its ability to stack triggered effects from powers and relics.
