I've found the Strength-scaling elements of Ironclad's card pool underwhelming so far. When cards like Ashen Strike exist, I'm not sure that there's enough payoff for paying two energy for something like Fight Me! That said, if you get it going it can definitely provide a lot of damage. Thrash scales particularly well with Strength, for example, and there are commons like Sword Boomerang and Anger which also do alright with it. The downside isn't particularly real, don't be afraid of it.
