Strong "both ways" common for Act 1, but you don't WANT to be relying on it for Frost Orb generation later in the run, as there are stronger options. That said, if it's the best you're offered, you may have to try to make do with it.
Extremely solid early-game attack that gives you immediate damage and gradual block. Use this as part of a broader strategy to put a lot of orbs in play or as part of an attack-spamming playstyle.
