Tear Asunder takes quite a while to get going and is usually outdamaged by other cards in the card pool, even in a deck which it should be good in. I mostly get value out of it by finding it off an Attack Potion in a longer fight I'm struggling with.
A very nice payoff for a build that is dealing small amounts of self-damage frequently. Works especially well with Strength.
