Putting Burns in your Discard Pile doesn't have much drawback until much later in the fight, and Statuses can even potentially have upside for Defect, so this card is extremely strong and often worth upgrading.
Immediate draw can be useful for any deck to get powers and orbs down quickly, but this card shines the most with status-synergy cards such as Adaptation or Smokestack to get extra value from the created burn.
