Adrenaline is an obscene card. Think of it sort of like it's letting you take an entire extra half a turn. It's also a card which is hard to replace with other options in the card pool. You can find other ways to scale damage, or scale up your defense, but the ways to accelerate your deck's card draw and energy generation are much more limited, and the ones that do exist require you to stitch together multiple cards in a combo (for example: Acrobatics + Tactician).
